Article 3 Format of reports

This is a draft act

This text has been parsed from the AMLA final report draft as published on 3 July 2026. While we run a suite of validations, the automated parsing can result in errors. Also, before it is finally adopted by the Commission, its wording, numbering and references may change, and entire articles might be removed or added.

Summary What does Article 3 of the ITS on AMLA reporting to the EPPO say?

This article establishes the practical mechanism by which AMLA communicates its findings to the EPPO.

It requires AMLA to use a standardised reporting template — structured according to the Annex of the Regulation — to transmit the results of joint analyses and any other relevant information.

Critically, this submission must be made in a machine-readable format, ensuring consistency and automated processability.

This article works in close conjunction with Articles 4 and 5, which further govern the content of the template and the secure channel through which it must be submitted.

Important points:

  • AMLA is required to use the reporting template set out in the Annex, completing it in accordance with the instructions contained therein.
  • AMLA must submit the reporting template to the EPPO in a machine-readable format.
  • Note that Article 7 delays the machine-readable format requirement specifically until 10 July 2028, one year after the rest of the Regulation begins to apply.

Springlex's summary of the article is a reading aid, not a substitute for the legal text.
