Summary What does Article 27 of the RTS on group-wide minimum requirements and additional measures for third-country subsidiaries and branches say?
This is the standard entry into force and application article, which closes out the regulation by establishing when it becomes legally operative.
The regulation enters into force twenty days after publication and applies from 10 July 2027, with a notable carve-out granting certain obliged entities an extended deadline of 10 July 2029.
As the final article, it confirms the regulation's direct applicability across all Member States without the need for national transposition.
Important points:
- The regulation applies from 10 July 2027 for most obliged entities.
- A deferred application date of 10 July 2029 applies to the specific obliged entities referred to in Article 3, points (3)(n) and (o) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1624.
- The regulation is binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
