Recital 145 Contribute to increase knowledge and expertise in the market

In order to minimise the risks means the combination of the probability of an occurrence of harm and the severity of that harm; to implementation resulting from lack of knowledge and expertise in the market as well as to facilitate compliance of providers means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that develops an AI system or a general-purpose AI model or that has an AI system or a general-purpose AI model developed and places it on the market or puts the AI system into service under its own name or trademark, whether for payment or free of charge;, in particular SMEs, including start-ups, and notified bodies means a conformity assessment body notified in accordance with this Regulation and other relevant Union harmonisation legislation; with their obligations under this Regulation, the AI-on-demand platform, the European Digital Innovation Hubs and the testing and experimentation facilities established by the Commission and the Member States at Union or national level should contribute to the implementation of this Regulation. Within their respective mission and fields of competence, the AI-on-demand platform, the European Digital Innovation Hubs and the testing and experimentation Facilities are able to provide in particular technical and scientific support to providers means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that develops an AI system or a general-purpose AI model or that has an AI system or a general-purpose AI model developed and places it on the market or puts the AI system into service under its own name or trademark, whether for payment or free of charge; and notified bodies means a conformity assessment body notified in accordance with this Regulation and other relevant Union harmonisation legislation;.
