Article 5 Chair and Vice-Chair

1. At the beginning of each term of office referred to in Article 4, the Commission shall appoint a Chair and a Vice-Chair from among the members of the scientific panel. To that end, the scientific panel shall, acting by simple majority of its members, recommend a Chair and a Vice-Chair from among its members.
1. The term of office of the Chair and Vice-Chair shall follow the term of office of the scientific panel referred to in Article 4 and shall be renewable once. Any replacement of the Chair or Vice-Chair during the term of office shall take place according to the procedure referred to in paragraph 1 and shall be valid for the remainder of the term.
