Article 49 Information obligation on notified bodies
Notified bodies means a conformity assessment body designated in accordance with Article 43 and other relevant Union harmonisation legislation; shall inform the notifying authority means the national authority responsible for setting up and carrying out the necessary procedures for the assessment, designation and notification of conformity assessment bodies and for their monitoring; of the following:
any refusal, restriction, suspension or withdrawal means withdrawal as defined in Article 3, point (23), of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020; of a certificate;
any circumstances affecting the scope of and conditions for notification;
any request for information which they have received from market surveillance authorities means a market surveillance authority as defined in Article 3, point (4), of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020; regarding conformity assessment means the process of verifying whether the essential cybersecurity requirements set out in Annex I have been fulfilled; activities;
on request, conformity assessment means the process of verifying whether the essential cybersecurity requirements set out in Annex I have been fulfilled; activities performed within the scope of their notification and any other activity performed, including cross-border activities and subcontracting.
Notified bodies means a conformity assessment body designated in accordance with Article 43 and other relevant Union harmonisation legislation; shall provide the other bodies notified under this Regulation carrying out similar conformity assessment means the process of verifying whether the essential cybersecurity requirements set out in Annex I have been fulfilled; activities covering the same products with digital elements means a software or hardware product and its remote data processing solutions, including software or hardware components being placed on the market separately; with relevant information on issues relating to negative and, upon request, positive conformity assessment means the process of verifying whether the essential cybersecurity requirements set out in Annex I have been fulfilled; results.
