Article 6 Significant incidents with regard to TLD name registries


With regard to TLD name registries, an incident means an incident as defined in Article 6, point (6), of Directive (EU) 2022/2555; shall be considered significant under Article 3(1)(g) where it fulfils one or more of the following criteria:

  1. an authoritative domain name resolution service is completely unavailable;

  2. for a period of more than one hour, the average response time of an authoritative domain name resolution service to DNS requests is more than 10 seconds,

  3. the integrity, confidentiality or authenticity of stored, transmitted or processed data related to the technical operation of the TLD is compromised.
