Article 3 Request for cooperation or exchange of information

1. A requesting authority shall make a request for cooperation or exchange of information in writing, by post or by electronic means. It shall address the request to the contact point designated pursuant to Article 2.

When requesting cooperation or the exchange of information, a competent authoritymeans one or more authorities:designated by each Member State in accordance with Article 93 concerning offerors, persons seeking admission to trading of crypto-assets other than asset-referenced tokens and e-money tokens, issuers of asset-referenced tokens, or crypto-asset service providers;designated by each Member State for the application of Directive 2009/110/EC concerning issuers of e-money tokens; shall use the form set out in Annex I and shall:
  1. specify the details of the relevant information requested;
  2. identify, where appropriate, issues relating to the confidentiality of the information requested.
